‘Code Like a Cook’ Book Launched to Teach Blockchain Development to Youth

-

Universal exchange platform Bitget has released a new educational book titled Programming4Youth: Code Like a Cook, designed to teach blockchain development and decentralized applications (dApps) to beginners using cooking analogies.

Key Details

Developed under Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth and Blockchain4Her programs in collaboration with GANAP with Eli (Eli Rabadon), the initiative aims to simplify technical programming concepts for young learners with no prior coding experience, according to the company’s press release.

The book serves as an introductory guide to building dApps using the Solidity programming language. It breaks down complex ideas by associating them with the familiar process of cooking. In the curriculum, ingredients represent lines of code, recipes introduce algorithms, and cooking tools refer to web3 platforms such as Remix and MetaMask. Furthermore, the act of cooking represents executing code, while plating reflects sharing the finished application.

Structured Learning Journey

Through this structured learning journey, readers are guided through building a practical “Tip Jar” application. The hands-on component teaches learners to write a smart contract, deploy it in the Remix Integrated Development Environment (IDE), connect a MetaMask wallet, and test the application on a blockchain testnet.

“Learning to build should not feel inaccessible from the start,” said Bitget CEO Gracy Chen. “The goal is to make the first step easier to take. When concepts are explained in a way that feels familiar, more people are willing to try.”

Bitget announced that the initial distribution of Programming4Youth: Code Like a Cook will begin in the Philippines, followed by a global rollout. Further distribution details will be announced in due course.

Recent Bitget Developments

The launch of the new book follows several recent operational and educational expansions by Bitget.

On April 10, 2026, Bitget Wallet introduced a new “Scan-To-Pay” QR feature across the Asia-Pacific region. The integration allows local users to conduct retail payments using stablecoins, specifically USDT and USDC, across multiple networks including Ethereum, Solana, and the BNB Chain.

In March 2026, Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth program also partnered with local organization Wave3 Community to release a separate series of crypto education book focused on market strategies for Filipino youth. This was preceded by a February 2026 campaign under the exchange’s Blockchain4Her initiative, which provided funding and support for women-led web3 educational programs in the country.
