Web3 game developer Sky Mavis has announced Axie Infinity: Atia’s Legacy, an upcoming massively multiplayer online (MMO) game set in the Axie universe of Lunacia. The game aims to deliver an immersive experience that builds on seven years of web3 gaming expertise.
Atia’s Legacy will feature squad-based combat, a unified progression system, and a mix of player-versus-environment (PvE) and crafting mechanics. Players will explore a vast world filled with ancient ruins, mystical forests, and dreamworld landscapes while engaging in real-time battles with their Axies, the NFT in-game characters.
Gameplay Features
The initial version of Atia’s Legacy will introduce a balanced gameplay experience that includes:
- Squad-Based Combat: Players will lead a team of four Axies through dynamic battles with shared gear.
- Unified Progression: A streamlined leveling system allows squads to develop together, unlocking new abilities and gear tiers.
- Immersive PvE: Story-driven missions and side quests let players gather loot and progress the narrative.
- Resource and Crafting: Players can collect materials to create and enhance powerful equipment.
- Social Interaction: A town hub designed for real-time interactions and strategy discussions with other players.
The phased alpha rollout will introduce core combat and progression systems first, followed by story missions, crafting, player-versus-player (PvP) battles, and social elements.

On February 13, 20255, the Open Ronin Global Rally Points hosted official meetups in 11 cities worldwide, including four locations in the Philippines—Cabanatuan, Manila, San Carlos and Cebu—highlighting the country’s growing role in web3 gaming.
These events brought the Filipino Ronin community together for games, discussions and exclusive perks, reinforcing Cabanatuan’s status as the “Axie Capital of the Philippines” and showcasing Sky Mavis’ continued support for its local player base.
Recent Ronin Updates
In January, Ronin launched Tama Meme, the first fair-launch token launchpad by Moku, enabling users to create, trade and meme tokens while fostering decentralized finance (DeFi) accessibility, supporting new communities and aligning with Ronin’s transition to an open blockchain ecosystem.
Last month, Ronin transitioned to a permissionless blockchain, allowing all developers to build on its ecosystem. It also introduced the Ronin Developer Console for streamlined game deployment, integrated Chainlink CCIP for enhanced cross-chain security, and reported significant growth in daily active addresses, NFT trading volume and RON holders.
