Cardano Snubbed? Charles Hoskinson Reportedly Not Invited to White House Crypto Summit

-

Despite speculation following former President Trump’s statement about including ADA in the U.S. Crypto Reserve, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson was reportedly not invited to the White House Crypto Summit.

Bye Cardano?

According to a report from crypto news outlet Unchained, a White House source said that Hoskinson will not be attending the White House Crypto Summit on March 7, as he was not included on the guest list.

  • Speculation about Hoskinson’s attendance arose after former President Trump announced on Truth Social that Cardano’s $35.6 billion token, ADA, would be part of a U.S. Crypto Reserve.

Moreover, the report highlighted that neither Hoskinson nor Cardano representatives have met with the president since his inauguration.

  • There was speculation about Hoskinson attending the MAGA Inc. dinner, stemming from his February social media posts about a rescheduled “VIP dinner,” as well as his announcement that he would miss ETH Denver for a trip to Florida.
  • However, Unchained revealed that a White House source confirmed he was not invited, and another source verified that he was in Denver for an ETH Denver side event.

Cardano in the US Crypto Reserve

On March 3rd, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the creation of a U.S. strategic crypto reserve, naming Cardano (ADA) alongside XRP and Solana (SOL) as the initial assets included. Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) were later added after an initial omission caused confusion.

Following Trump’s announcement, Cardano (ADA) experienced a sharp 72% surge. However, the token has since plunged 24.7%, trading at $0.801 as of March 4, 2025 (1:00 PM)–a day after the announcement.
