Bitgo Debuts Unified Digital Asset Financing Platform for Institutional Borrowing – News Bytes Bitcoin News

-

Bitgo Prime announced the launch of its integrated financing platform in New York on March 31, 2026. This new offering consolidates borrowing, lending, and collateral management into a single workflow to eliminate the fragmented infrastructure typically associated with digital asset financing. The platform serves institutional participants by supporting liquid assets, locked tokens, and staked positions within a secure, regulated environment.

The importance of this launch lies in its ability to offer portfolio-based financing that adapts to how institutions manage capital and risk in real-time. By utilizing the Go Account multi-asset regulated custody wallet, clients can access liquidity based on risk-adjusted parameters across their entire diversified holdings. This structure reduces operational complexity by removing the need for manual collateral movements across multiple third-party venues or risky smart contracts.

Institutional clients can now track and manage their positions directly through the Bitgo interface, ensuring transparency and operational control over their strategic allocations. The platform supports crypto-backed loans against major assets including bitcoin ( BTC), ethereum ( ETH), and solana ( SOL), alongside various stablecoins. These funds are available for immediate deployment through Bitgo trading entities or for general working capital and strategic liquidity needs.

“With Bitgo Prime, we are delivering a platform that meets institutional standards without requiring clients to restructure their portfolios to access capital,” said Mike Belshe, CEO and Co-founder of Bitgo.
