Claynosaurz Expands to Sui, Launching New NFTs and a Mobile Game

-

Animated NFT brand popular for its dinosaur-themed collection Claynosaurz is extending its reach beyond the Solana blockchain, confirming its expansion to Sui.

Rather than replacing its existing infrastructure, Claynosaurz will continue supporting its Solana-based NFTs whilst launching new features and collections on the Sui blockchain.

These additions include an achievements system, a new NFT collection named Popkins, and a mobile game scheduled for release in 2025.

What is Claynosaurz?

Claynosaurz is a digital collectibles project launched on the Solana blockchain in November 2022 featuring 10,222 animated 3D dinosaurs, each part of one of seven fictional species.

The collection’s visual identity is influenced by stop-motion and clay animation, with each dinosaur designed to have a distinct personality. Its backstory is built around the fictional concept of a child bringing toy dinosaurs to life through imagination.

Claynosaurz attracted early attention on Solana, generating over $600,000 in trading volume within two weeks of launch. Its creators have continued to develop new features whilst maintaining a focus on storytelling and animated content.

What can you expect from the expansion?

The expansion to Sui will introduce several new components such as an achievement system that tracks activity and engagement across the Claynosaurz ecosystem. Whilst Solana-based NFTs will still be supported, achievement tokens will be minted exclusively on Sui.

Following this, the project will release a new collection called Popkins. The collection introduces 25,000 new digital characters, but instead of using a traditional NFT minting process, the team will issue digital booster packs. Each pack contains a chance to receive a Popkin or a species card. Some packs may also include cosmetic items or other digital content, though details on pricing and distribution have not yet been made public.

The final item on the near-term roadmap is a mobile game, planned for release in 2025. The game will feature real-time dinosaur battles and will initially be available on iOS and Android with support for the SuiPlay0X1 handheld console expected to follow.

Developers have stated that blockchain elements will be handled in the background, making the game accessible to players without requiring prior knowledge of web3 technology.
