Big changes are expected in the global infrastructure as per the CEO of Ripple Brad Garlinghouse. He says we might see a financial revolution very soon. According to Brad Garlinghouse, XRP is going to replace SWIFT in the financial sector.

XRP Vs SWIFT: Face to Face

In a question asked to Ripple CEO in an interview with FOX Business, he said that the face-off of SWIFT and XRP is likely going to occur very soon in the sector of cross border payments where XRP will not only replace SWIFT but it will bury the SWIFT system.

The need for quick cross-border transactions might grow rapidly by the year 2032 and the integration of blockchain might help market capitalization to reach the figure of $320 million.

According to the Head of Industry Engagement at SWIFT, Alisa DiCaprio, they are testing XRP as well as HBAR to integrate in future which may result in quick transactions by the year 2027.

Is It A Partnership or Competition?

SWIFT usually takes around 2 to 4 days to complete a transaction which is outdated. Therefore, most of the merchants want their transactions to be settled within the time frame of just sixty minutes.

According to Ripple CEO, SWIFT was developed around 50 years ago and therefore, its integration with the Ripple blockchain might help merchants settle their transactions quickly.

Brad Garlinghouse says that XRP has a chance to capture the cross-border market of $155 trillion. It is bound to happed either it comes in the form of competing with SWIFT or in collaboration with them. Also, he said that there is likely going to be a major impact on different sectors like real estate in the coming ten to twenty years in the United States of America.
